Volunteer Check-in Process

6:20 AM – Check in at the Information Tent

• Check in with the Volunteer Team. 
• Confirm your T-shirt size and collect your volunteer T-shirt. 

After Check-in

• Find your assigned Captain. 

6:50 AM – Volunteer Welcome & Briefing

• Attend a short event briefing led by the Volunteer Coordinator.

7:00 AM

• Walk to your assigned volunteer station with your Captain. 

At Your Volunteer Area

• Your Captain will provide a role-specific briefing and training before participants arrive. 

By 8:00 AM

• Be ready at your station to welcome participants.

FAQ

Q: What if I'm late on race day?

A: Please call or text the Volunteer Coordinator, Ring, at 778-723-0102 as soon as possible.

Q: What if I can no longer volunteer?

A: If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by replying to our pre-event email or emailing burnabylakerun@gmail.com.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for the weather. We also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat if needed.

Q: Who do I contact if I need help on race day?

A: Please contact your Captain first. Every volunteer area has a designated Captain who can assist you with any questions or issues during the event.
